Allen Lane is supporting a Central Government organisation in their search for a Lead Technical Architect, who will be responsible for the technical assurance. The postholder will use their skills and expertise to ensure the organisation's transformation projects align with the strategic goals while upholding the highest standards of security and quality. You will operate as the "intelligent customer" and the go-to technical expert of solution architecture.
Applicants must have excellent and recent knowledge of the Microsoft Azure tech stack, cloud solutions, and cyber-security best practices. The following essential criteria are required for this post:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a technical assurance lead capacity or within a similar remit to this job description.
- Experience of the Microsoft stack, including Office 365, Azure, Dynamics 365 CRM and SharePoint.
- Experience of working with cloud-based solutions e.g. Software as a Service (SaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Demonstrate experience liaising with stakeholders to translate business requirements into relevant artefacts.
- Experience working with Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products to meet business requirements.
- A solid understanding of current technology trends and the availability of products within the marketplace.
- Proven experience of Solution Architecture and assuring High- and Low-Level technical designs.
- A good understanding of infrastructure, communications and security technologies.
- A good understanding with demonstrable experience of cyber solutions and how these can support business to mitigate cyber risk within a best practice framework of controls.
- Experience working with environments that use the Microsoft technology stack e.g. Windows, SQL Server, Active Directory, BizTalk and Exchange etc.
- Able to describe an organisation's data architecture using tools such as logical data models and entity relationship diagrams.
- Ability to influence change through teams or individuals, and act accordingly - providing coaching / mentoring / guidance / advice where required.
