Our client, a company associated with sports, are looking to create a brand new role for an IT Manager.
The role is to ensure the reliability, security and performance of the IT environment through a blend of strategic leadership and hands- on operational support.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the managed service provider (MSP) to maintain and enhance our IT infrastructure, ensuring excellent day-to-day service delivery and acting as the internal point of contact for staff IT needs.
You will lead the planning, operation and continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure, including Microsoft tenancy and Office suite, meeting room and other office systems, networks (LAN, WIFI, WAN), device lifecycle management and cyber-security strategy and controls.
Responsibilities
- User support and training
- Work with the MSP to set-up IT access and provide on-boarding, ongoing and off- boarding support for staff in the UK and overseas.
- Work with the MSP and other external IT providers to ensure technical support is provided in a timely manner (in accordance with SLAs).
- Ensure all staff are provided with relevant daily support to enable them to work proficiently.
- Manage and monitor equipment, products and system requirements to increase efficiencies individually and collectively across the organisation.
- Systems and infrastructure
- Ownership, management and regular review of the relationship with the Managed Service Provider (MSP) and related technology providers to ensure the ICT services are supported to the highest standards.
- Advise and monitor system security through development of firewall, virus protection, and ‘Best Practice’ security policies.
- Production of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) architecture, security and detailed design documents.
This role would be ideal for someone from a sports company backround. It is imperative for the candidate to be able to work across levels (junior to senior level).
