Our client is an independent advisory body dedicated to supporting the delivery of environmental goals and sustainable policies. Its aim is to provide evidence-based advice to help governments and organisations respond to the climate emergency effectively. We are seeking an experienced ERP Implementation Specialist to lead the end-to-end implementation of a new system. This role is critical to ensuring the successful modernisation of our internal systems to better support decision-making, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ERP systems and project management, with proven experience in vendor selection, system integration, and translating technical requirements into clear, accessible information for non-technical stakeholders. This is a long term contract to start immediately but it is imperative to land quickly to understand the organisational processes, people and goals and then choose the most appropriate solution.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the ERP implementation project from planning through deployment, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and sustainability values.
- Conduct needs assessments across departments to understand current workflows and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Manage the ERP vendor selection process, including requirements gathering, RFP development, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation.
- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, ERP vendors, and internal stakeholders, including finance, HR, and policy units.
- Develop and deliver clear, non-technical documentation and presentations to support stakeholder understanding and buy-in.
- Coordinate data migration, user acceptance testing, and training plans in collaboration with key departments.
- Ensure that the ERP system supports data integrity, transparency, and effective reporting in line with climate-related metrics and sustainability mandates.
- Monitor project milestones, budgets, and risk, providing regular updates to leadership and advisory boards.
- Promote change management practices to support adoption and long-term system success.
- 5+ years of experience in ERP implementation, preferably in public sector or nonprofit environments.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor selection and contract management.
- Strong project management skills (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 certification is a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex systems to non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of organizational change management principles.
