The Role

Senior C# . Net Developer

12 Month Contract

£690 Inside IR35

The Work

One of my key clients has an extensive roadmap of deliverables that necessitates additional development capacity. They are looking for someone who can support the ongoing management of technical debt, as well as maintaining high standards for quality, security, CI, and exploring innovation opportunities, all within the C#/.NET Core and Azure technology stack.

Working as a member of the development team you will:

  • Create and adapt new C# / .NET Core services.
  • Coach existing team members in the use of C# / .NET Core through pair programming, peer review, and team talks.
  • Support the existing systems and initiatives during office hours to help achieve its service level objectives.
  • Have a strong focus on quality, re-usability, clean architectures and patterns, security through the application lifecycle and building resilient solutions.
  • Assist the Lead Developer, Delivery Manager, and Product Owner to design service improvements and the addition of new features.

Essential Experience

  • Experience (3+ years) of working in a senior software development role at the enterprise-level with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members and being an active member of an agile and self-improving team.
  • Experience of providing levels of support and diagnostics when issues are raised.
  • Strong experience (5+ years) of C# and .NET Core.
  • Good understanding of OO concepts and SOLID design principles
  • Experience of developing using public cloud, ideally Microsoft Azure and Terraform
  • Knowledge of SQL and database design
  • Experience of building extensive unit and integration testing ideally with a BDD or TDD approach.
  • Being proficient in one or more scripting languages is a nice to have (e.g. powershell)
