This opportunity is particularly suited to individuals with a legal background who may be considering an alternative career path. You could be a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, Law Graduate or an individual who has gained experience within a legal environment and is looking to apply those skills in a people-focused, commercially driven role.

As an Associate Consultant / Consultant within our Legal & Governance team, you will play a key role in identifying and engaging high-calibre legal professionals, building lasting relationships with candidates and clients, and supporting organisations to make critical appointments.

This is a highly consultative role that combines relationship management, business development, market intelligence and candidate assessment. You will receive structured training, ongoing development and the opportunity to build a rewarding career within a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with legal and governance professionals across the public and not-for-profit sectors
• Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future opportunities
• Conduct candidate interviews and competency-based assessments via telephone, video and face-to-face meetings
• Understand candidates' skills, motivations and career aspirations to identify suitable opportunities
• Provide advice and guidance throughout the recruitment process
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from initial engagement through to placement
• Maintain accurate records and activity using internal CRM systems
• Work towards and exceed agreed performance targets and activity levels
• Contribute to business development initiatives and market mapping projects

We are open to applicants without previous recruitment experience, provided you can demonstrate a genuine connection to the legal profession and an interest in building a career in recruitment.

You will ideally have:

• A Law degree or previous experience working within a legal environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities
• High levels of organisation and attention to detail
• A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Commercial curiosity and an enthusiasm for achieving ambitious goals
• Confidence engaging with professionals at all levels
