Are you an experienced HR professional with a pragmatic approach and a talent for providing solution-driven advice? This is an excellent chance to support key HR functions within a prestigious institution. Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis and will require an immediate start; notice periods cannot be accommodated.
Responsibilities
- Advising on a variety of HR issues, ensuring compliance with policies and employment law.
- Assisting with recruitment campaigns, onboarding, and staff induction procedures.
- Handling employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance investigations, with careful attention to confidentiality and best practice.
- Developing and updating HR policies and procedures, implementing systems using an HRIS platform.
- Coordinating training sessions, staff development programmes, and wellbeing initiatives.
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping and data protection compliance.
Rewards
A standard working week of 37.5 hours, generally 9am to 5:30pm. One day per week work-from-home flexibility. Note: parking is not available at this central Oxford location.
Experience Essentials
- Demonstrable experience managing employee relations and implementing HR policies.
- Practical knowledge of HRIS platforms and policy drafting.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK employment law, data protection regulations, and ER case handling.
- CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent.
- A resilient, discreet, and compassionate approach to personnel issues.
- Strong operational HR background, including managing complex ER cases.
Location
Based in Oxford’s city centre, with no parking available. This role involves onsite presence four days a week.
