Part-Time Finance Officer (3 days per week 22.5 hours)

Part-Time Finance Officer Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to

  • Maintaining accurate financial records across three legal entities to ensure compliance.
  • Processing payroll efficiently for staff and contractors, ensuring payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Managing supplier invoices, expenses, and bank reconciliations to support financial transparency.
  • Assisting with financial reporting and preparing documentation for audits and review processes.
  • Ensuring all financial activities follow relevant policies and legal requirements.
  • Supporting VAT submissions and other statutory filings to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Organising financial documents and supporting daily operational needs effectively.

  • Part-Time Finance Officer Experience Essentials
  • Experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or basic financial administration.
  • Knowledge of financial software such as Xero or Sage is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • GCSEs (A*-C/9-4), including Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications.
  • AAT qualification or similar professional training is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and within a small team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • An understanding or appreciation of the ethos of the organisation is preferred.
