Part-Time Finance Officer Responsibilities
This position will involve, but will not be limited to
- Maintaining accurate financial records across three legal entities to ensure compliance.
- Processing payroll efficiently for staff and contractors, ensuring payments are made accurately and on time.
- Managing supplier invoices, expenses, and bank reconciliations to support financial transparency.
- Assisting with financial reporting and preparing documentation for audits and review processes.
- Ensuring all financial activities follow relevant policies and legal requirements.
- Supporting VAT submissions and other statutory filings to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Organising financial documents and supporting daily operational needs effectively.

- Part-Time Finance Officer Experience Essentials
- Experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or basic financial administration.
- Knowledge of financial software such as Xero or Sage is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- GCSEs (A*-C/9-4), including Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications.
- AAT qualification or similar professional training is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and within a small team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality.
- An understanding or appreciation of the ethos of the organisation is preferred.
