Are you an experienced finance professional seeking a flexible, part-time role that offers hands-on accounting support? Please note, this is a temporary position paid on a weekly PAYE basis and will require an immediate start; notice periods cannot be accommodated.

Responsibilities

  • Performing bank reconciliations, journals, accruals, and maintaining accurate financial records in Xero
  • Supporting VAT returns, management accounts, and grant reporting
  • Processing supplier and subcontractor invoices, resolving any queries efficiently
  • Preparing and managing supplier payment runs, including remittances
  • Raising purchase orders, managing ledgers, and overseeing the purchase inbox
  • Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts, liaising to resolve queries professionally
  • Providing general finance administration and reporting support

Rewards

  • 16 hours per week, ideally Monday and Tuesday, 9am to 5:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Experience Essentials

  • Hands‑on experience in a similar finance transactional role
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel
  • Experience using Xero accounting software
  • Understanding of accounting principles and VAT
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident in dealing with suppliers professionally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
