Are you an experienced Customer Service Advisor looking to build your career within the healthcare and life sciences sector?

We are recruiting for a Healthcare Customer Service Advisor to join a fascinating organisation based in East Oxford.

Working closely with customers and laboratories, you'll play a key role in coordinating diagnostic testing orders, managing customer enquiries and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers and testing laboratories, providing professional, responsive and solutions‑focused support.
  • Managing customer enquiries via phone and email, ensuring queries are resolved accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinating customer testing orders from receipt through to completion, liaising with laboratory teams to monitor testing progress and provide timely updates.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, delivering a consistently high level of service and fostering long‑term partnerships.
  • Maintaining accurate customer and order records using Excel and internal systems, ensuring compliance with quality standards and company procedures.
  • Supporting the onboarding of new customers and providing ongoing guidance throughout their customer journey.
  • Working collaboratively with internal scientific, laboratory and operational teams to ensure orders are processed efficiently and customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of order management processes and systems to enhance service delivery.

Experience Essentials

  • Previous experience in a customer service, customer support, client services or customer care role within a healthcare, clinical, diagnostics, laboratory or life sciences environment.
  • A Life Sciences degree or relevant scientific qualification would be desirable.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Power Point skills, with experience using CRM or order management systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship‑building skills, with a proactive and customer‑focused approach.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.

This hybrid role is based in East Oxford, with a minimum of three days per week on site. The office offers free parking and excellent public transport links.
