Engineering Purchasing Specialist Responsibilities This position will involve, but will not be limited to:
Managing the procurement of mechanical components, composites, or marine parts to support production needs and business goals.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to improve quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate sourcing and quality standards.
Negotiating prices, lead times, and contractual terms to achieve optimal value.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering and production to align procurement strategies.
Monitoring supplier performance and resolving supply chain issues promptly.
Using ERP systems, preferably SAP, to manage purchase orders, tracking, and inventory data.
