The predicted salary is between 19200 - 23280 £ per year.

This company does not have a finance function. The Head of Business Operations has been processing the invoices, payments, expenses but they need a dedicated finance person to take on these duties and report to them. Hence this newly created role to provide day-to-day financial bookkeeping to the company.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update project related financial records
  • Process invoices, payments, and expenses accurately and in a timely manner
  • Manage monthly payroll and ensure compliance with relevant UK regulations
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Manage payments and bank account transactions
  • Maintain and develop finance-driven processes
  • Assist in setting up a new ERP financial system

Experience

  • To be successful in this role you must have previous UK based experience in a finance role and preferably within a similar type of agile, fast-paced and ever-changing organisation, working with ambiguity and being prepared to roll your sleeves up and do whatever is required beyond the basic job description.
  • You must have, or be working towards, a finance bookkeeping qualification such as ACCA or similar and have a good understanding of UK accounting principles.
  • You must have experience of providing payroll data to a payroll provider.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal, to be able to liaise with different stakeholders and Project Managers across the organisation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant finance software applications, ideally Quickbooks, Xero and Sage
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work comfortably in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, and team-oriented environment
  • Desire and demonstrated ability to thrive and produce results in a fluid, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
  • Passion for solving problems and challenges in a highly technical and scientific environment

Location

This role requires you to be based in the office in Northern Oxfordshire, 5 days a week. Please ensure you are local to apply for this role. You must have the full right to work in the UK as this client does not have a sponsorship licence.
