Overhead Crane Operator & Heavy Forklift Driver
Allelys is hiring for the role of Overhead Crane Operator & Heavy Forklift Driver. This is a multifunctional role involving moving heavy equipment and assisting crane operators with moving heavy press tools.
Responsibilities
- Safely loading and unloading heavy engineering equipment using overhead cranes.
- Driving heavy forklifts to move heavy press tools.
- Assist with locating goods and preparing items for transport.
- Maintain accurate stock records and oversee warehouse inventory.
- Keep the workspace clean, organised and compliant with safety standards.
- Be open to training opportunities.
- Assisting overhead crane operators with the movement of heavy press tools.
- Record keeping and stock control of the warehouse and yards.
Key Skills
- Experience operating overhead cranes in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong multitasking abilities and a positive attitude towards learning new skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach to work.
- Good physical fitness to support hands-on tasks.
- Previous experience of heavy forklift driving.
- B1 licence.
- Ability to multi-task and willingness to learn new skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive and hard working.
