We are looking for warm, compassionate Healthcare Assistants (Care Companions) to join our beautiful Fordingbridge care home in Hampshire. Working nights, including alternate weekends, you'll play a vital role in supporting our residents to live comfortably, safely, and with dignity—delivering care that is truly person-centred. Whether you're experienced or just starting your career in care, we provide full training, ongoing development, and a supportive team environment to help you thrive.
About the Role
As a Care Companion, you'll work closely with our Senior Healthcare Assistants and Registered Nurses to provide high-quality care and companionship. You will support residents with:
- Personal care (washing, toileting, oral care, mobility and manual handling)
- Emotional and social wellbeing
- Daily activities, hobbies, and wellbeing programmes
- Nutrition and hydration support
- Maintaining accurate care records and reporting changes to nurses
- Skin care and pressure area support
- Communication with families, friends, and healthcare professionals
You'll also have opportunities to mentor new team members and grow your own skills.
