In this exciting role you will work as a member of our activities team in the home. This is a hands-on role and you will work closely with our care team, residents, relatives/friends and the wider community to provide the very best quality activities to help maintain both physical and mental health. You’ll delight in providing our residents with opportunities to develop new hobbies and maintain current interests.
The role is a full-time job with an agreed 36-hour schedule over seven days including alternate weekends. You’ll need to be flexible possibly when a special event is planned as you might work fewer hours during the week and a bit extra in the evening or over the weekend for example.
About you
You are a natural people person who is very good at organising. You’ll have at least a year of similar experience, preferably in a care home environment. You’ll be a great communicator and a great planner with an eye for detail. You’ll design our annual activities plans, manage them to a budget, enthuse the home and community to be involved and share stories about life in the home.
