We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Engineer who has led facilities and infrastructure projects to join one of the largest manufacturing companies on a 12 month contract in Desford. In this role, you will be responsible for managing teams to deliver facility goals and projects, reviewing and making recommendations on new and current equipment, procedures, and training requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support facility needs for infrastructure and equipment across various disciplines.
  • Supervise contractors and issue permits.
  • Lead and manage projects for facility infrastructure and new equipment installation, including electrical, mechanical, civil, fire protection, and building work.
  • Prepare documentation for compliance of site systems to a planned maintenance program.
  • Investigate maintenance-related issues and recommend solutions.
  • Create and execute action plans to ensure compliance across the plant.
  • Liaise with and manage third-party contractors to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the design and recommendations of building changes.
  • Verify equipment and systems effectiveness and recommend revisions or new equipment purchases.
Qualifications:
  • HND in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Self-motivated with high initiative, providing solutions to problems and implementing them.
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment within facilities management.
  • Experience leading projects from conception to commissioning.
  • Experience managing contractors and/or suppliers.
  • Change management skills.
  • Previous experience in equipment specification, diagnostics, systems integration, and maintenance coordination.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to adapt to a diverse group of employees, customers, and suppliers.
