What We’re Looking For
We want to connect with Back-end Engineers who demonstrate expertise in a broad range of core skills and experience, including but not limited to:
- A degree in a quantitative or engineering discipline (e.g., computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics, engineering) or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong Python skills, with experience in back-end development and unit testing.
- Familiarity with generative AI concepts, particularly Large Language Models.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred), including core web application infrastructure.
- Knowledge of agile practices and ability to thrive in collaborative, iterative environments.
- Proficiency with modern development tools and workflows (e.g., git/GitHub, DevOps practices), with a mindset of commit early and deploy often.
- Understanding of web development best practices, modern design principles, and continuous integration workflows.
- Experience with automated testing tools and building robust test suites.
What You Might Be Doing
As a Back-end Engineer at GSK, you could get involved with:
- Backend development for Python-based web applications.
- Integration of AI/ML components with backend systems, data pipelines, and compute infrastructure.
- Delivering high-quality implementations following best practices, including automated testing and documentation.
- Participating in code reviews and collaborating with technical teams across disciplines.
