40 hours per week - 5 days a week across Monday-Sunday via monthly rota
Normal hours of work are between 7am and 10:30pm

Harry Potter Shop King’s Cross is the official London destination for best-in-class Wizarding World merchandise. At just over 2000sqft, the small footprint of Harry Potter Shop King’s Cross plays a massive part in the success of the Worldwide Tours & Retail business. Our team delivers extraordinary customer service and self-developed product as unique as our location.
Job Responsibilities
- Help exceed customer expectations by understanding and demonstrating exceptional service on the sales floor and till points.
- Display good listening skills, identifying customer needs and responding to them quickly.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance the customer experience.
- Continuously develop your product and brand knowledge.
- Replenish stock and maintain high standards of visual merchandising and housekeeping.
- Embrace new technology, processes and efficiencies that streamline the customer experience.
- Engage with large groups of customers at a time at our photo opportunity and communicate in an enthusiastic and entertaining manner.
- Share the Harry Potter story with passion and purpose, linking our products to the narrative and upselling where appropriate.
- Create a welcoming environment for all customers, treating every customer with respect and ensuring everyone feels valued.
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures e.g. timekeeping, absence reporting procedures etc.
- Take accountability for your personal performance and sales targets, regularly reviewing progress and taking steps to exceed goals.
- Show flexibility and willingness to meet store needs during the period of employment regarding hours, work and duties.
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Previous retail experience or experience working with the public (if a school leaver, work experience is desirable).
- Selling skills - proactively seeks out opportunities to increase sales.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with the public.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Enthusiasm and passion for, as well as excellent knowledge of, the Harry Potter brand.
Terms & Conditions
Contracted to 40 hours per week. You will be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays as part of this working pattern. This role includes working on tills, interacting with customers, replenishing our shelves, and working at the photo opportunity on the station concourse. Retail Assistants will need to work across all these functions at different times.
