What\’s it all about?
The Product team are responsible for creating and building a world class cross-border payments solution, supporting a portfolio of products and adding delivering value to customers.
As a Product Manager you will work closely with the Senior Product Manager and Agile Team to deliver the functionality and associated user experience of the product, from definition to implementation, through to optimization.
You will take the high level priorities from the Senior Product Manager and internal/external stakeholders and prioritize them to deliver features that enhance clients’ experience and deliver business value
You will ensure that prioritization is carried through to delivery, working with the agile teams to identify dependencies and blockers to ensure that decisions made align with the product vision and deliver business value
You will translate the business objectives into clearly articulated features, ensuring that the business objectives are understood by all teams at every stage of the development.
What we expect of you, day to day.
This role will report to the Senior Product Manager and be responsible for turning the product vision, strategy and design into reality. This role requires an experienced Product Manager with deep payments experience, preferably with prior experience in one of the following:
- Hands-on expertise with SWIFT Payments, including understanding of MX message types (pacs.008, pacs.002, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of ISO20022 standards and their application in payment systems.
- Familiarity with file-based payment instruction frameworks, such as batch file formats used for initiating and processing payments.
The ideal candidate will need to have the ability to deliver:
Drive end-to-end product lifecycle, from feature creation through launch and growth
- Work with Senior Product Manager and Internal/External stakeholders to understand and translate business objectives, priorities and requirements
- Work cross functionally with multiple teams across the organization to ensure alignment and address dependencies
- Decompose of epics into features to drive product improvement and enhancements
- Prioritize team backlog, ensuring it aligns with business objectives
- Ensure features are clearly written and understood by the Persistent (Agile) team
- Attend and participate in Agile team ceremonies
SME in Your Functional Area
- Become the Subject Matter Expert for your functional area, acting as main point of contact for any questions from internal/external stakeholders
- Support end-to-end development of product features from discovery through launch
- Support training, documentation and implementation activities for Product Features
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Product Manager in the payments industry
- Experience working with SWIFT payments, ISO 20022 standards or file-based payment instruction frameworks
- Strong analytical mindset and successful track record of working with cross-functional teams
- Self-starter, with ability to work independently, prioritize workload to meet deadlines and works well under pressure.
- Results orientated mindset with commitment to achieving goals, overcoming obstacles, and integrating changes into work processes
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of cross border payments, payment standards, payment processing technologies and regulations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
- Great attention to detail.
- Open to feedback, able to deal with ambiguity and juggle multiple projects
- Working experience in using Jira, and Jira Align
- User centric approach with experience delivering product features
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority using a collaborative approach.
