Role Overview
We are seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer with a strong background in building services maintenance to support a portfolio of commercial properties. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role involving both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, along with occasional installation work. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self‑motivated, and comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform reactive maintenance and troubleshooting across electrical systems
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
- Conduct fault finding, repairs, and minor installations
- Complete electrical testing and certification
- Use and maintain tasks within CAFM systems
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and procedures
- Inspect systems and proactively identify and resolve issues
- Produce technical reports and quotes for remedial works
- Support cross‑skilled tasks (mechanical, fabric, etc.) when required
- Participate in an on‑call rota and provide out‑of‑hours emergency cover
Day‑to‑Day Activities
- Manage stakeholder relationships and deliver high‑quality service
- Ensure SLA/KPI performance targets are met or exceeded
- Conduct site inspections and maintain compliance documentation
- Support minor projects, vendor coordination, and operational improvements
- Respond to and resolve emergency situations on‑site
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and system data
Required Skills & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Electrical qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building services
- Basic skills in plumbing, carpentry, or general fabric maintenance (advantageous)
- Full UK Driving License
- Familiarity with CAFM systems and mobile working tools
