This position reports to the Head of OPEX and plays a vital role in delivering high‑quality financial and commercial support to the Technology organization within a leading digital payments company. Supporting a Technology team predominantly located in Europe, the role requires a seasoned Finance Business Partner with over 10 years of proven experience. The selected candidate will provide strong financial reporting, insightful data analysis, and forward‑looking commercial guidance to enhance decision‑making across Technology and ensure disciplined financial control. This role is essential in enabling scalable and efficient investments in platforms, infrastructure, and innovation initiatives that support the company’s digital payment ecosystem and long‑term strategic goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver accurate, relevant, and timely management information and analysis to support the Senior Finance Business Partner.
  • Take full ownership of functional revenue, expense, and balance sheet accounting and reporting, ensuring appropriate processes and controls are in place.
  • Lead complex decision‑making discussions and confidently engage with senior‑level stakeholders, providing informed support and constructive challenge where appropriate.
  • Support the Technology division in developing strong business cases and optimizing financial performance.
  • Provide commercial challenge to ensure strategic decisions are financially sound and aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Assist in financial reviews of major commercial contracts, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Advise and guide the business on finance policies, procedures, and best‑practice standards.
  • Contribute to the month‑end process, ensuring the financial position is thoroughly understood, validated, and clearly communicated.
  • Prepare short‑term forecasts, annual budgets, and three‑year strategic plans using trends and forward‑looking business insights.
  • Develop and model divisional cost‑center and project financials to support decision‑making across planning, forecasting, and budgeting cycles.
  • Produce high‑quality monthly and ad hoc reporting and analysis to support both operational and strategic decisions.
  • Build strong working relationships with European and Global HQ finance teams, ensuring alignment with global reporting standards and partnering closely with HR for workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with HQ finance to support global reporting, system enhancements, and procedural alignment.
  • Drive efficiencies, challenge existing processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across both Europe and Global teams.
  • Operate as a proactive, hands‑on self‑starter capable of shaping and improving management information in a dynamic environment.

This role is offered as a 6‑month contract position.

Qualifications

  • CIMA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with substantial post‑qualification experience.
  • Degree‑educated or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Finance Business Partner, with strong relationship‑building abilities across regional and global stakeholders.
  • Experience working within a large, complex matrix organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Experience handling multi‑currency transactions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong experience with Oracle/Hyperion (preferred).
  • Experience with Ariba and Concur (preferred).
