The role is responsible for:
- Designing and implementing credit risk policies and models at the SCV Global Platform and for designated ventures
- Support the business in managing and monitoring of Credit Risk at SCV Global Platform and across the venture portfolio
- Support credit risk (and other related) reporting to Group and country regulators.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic risk advice for Risk Types (Traded Risk) across SC Ventures and providing direct guidance on alignment to framework and policy requirements. Support the First line on Risk Management requirements for Risk Types (Traded Risk).
- Lead strategic risk assessments on the competitor landscape for designated Risk Types (Traded Risk).
- Propose the Risk Appetite for SC Ventures (and underlying Venture entities) for Risk Types (Traded Risk).
- Support the strategic intent and collective agenda for SCV’s business and investment related activities for Risk Types (Traded Risk).
- Provide external information, guidance, best practice and expertise to inform the approach for SCV Risk management for Risk Types (Traded Risk)
- Review, challenge and advise on the alignment of SCV’s business strategy to the relevant Group/SCV Traded risk requirements.
- Design and manage all Traded Risk governance processes including the effectiveness of the risk control environment.
- Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of business processes.
- Enforce effective management of risks and compliance with applicable internal policies (focus on Traded Risk), and external laws and regulations for SCV.Regularly review audit reports / business risk reviews / and identify key trends and own uplift / remediate within SCV for Risk Types (Traded Risk).
- Reinforce a culture of continuous learning and development within SCV COO team.
- Support an open environment to stimulate creativity and develop innovative solution to supports Group’s aspiration.
- Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.
- Maintain an appropriate tone in collaboration with risk and control partners.
- Work with Second Line to support ongoing training and development requirements for SC Ventures for Risk Types (Traded Risk) and deliver training to support roles as required.
- Identify material risks (aligned to Risk Types) that SCV / Ventures may be potentially exposed to and direct relevant activities to manage and control these risks within Risk Appetite for Risk Types (Traded Risk).
- Validate that First Line and Second Line understand and accept their risk management responsibilities for delegated Risk Types.
- Support control testing for Traded Risk at SCV Platform.
- Support Traded risk reporting to Group and country regulators
