The Role

As an Infrastructure Systems Administrator & Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and evolving the organization's infrastructure landscape, ensuring stability, security, and high service quality across on‑prem and cloud environments.

You will contribute by:

  • Providing 2nd‑line infrastructure support as the team’s internal “front door”
  • Maintaining, securing, and continuously improving on‑premises and cloud infrastructure
  • Scheduling and executing regular infrastructure maintenance activities

Key Responsibilities

The organization values adaptability and ownership. In addition to the responsibilities below, you may be required to take on other duties aligned with the role.

  • Triaging 2nd‑line infrastructure support tickets and project requests
  • Monitoring, triaging, and resolving infrastructure and application issues
  • Performing scheduled and manual system maintenance, including:
  • Backup management
  • Vulnerability remediation
  • Configuration management
  • Auditing and reporting
  • Managing standard infrastructure and application changes, including commissioning and decommissioning
  • Handling secure data transfers in support of business and customer project work
  • Delivering a high‑quality service that exceeds internal SLAs and customer satisfaction targets
  • Working occasional out‑of‑hours to support critical maintenance activities
  • Driving proactive service improvement initiatives
  • Skills & Experience

    Must‑Have Skills

    • Extensive, hands‑on experience with: Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, Hyper‑V, RDS, AWS, MFA, SSO, Identity & Access Management
    • Strong experience in incident, change, and problem management, including vendor coordination
    • Experience with ITSM tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or similar
    • Backup technologies (e.g. Veeam) across local, Azure, and AWS environments
    • Datacenter monitoring and out‑of‑band hardware management
    • OS and application patching tools
    • Structured and methodical troubleshooting approaches
    • Enterprise Microsoft systems installation, support, and maintenance
    • Scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell, VB)

    Good to Have

    • Working knowledge of Linux environments (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, Alma)
    • Familiarity with Ansible, Python, or similar tooling
    • Experience working in compliance‑driven, audited environments

    Great to Have

    • Enterprise storage technologies (SAN / NAS – QSAN, Dell)
    • LAN, Wi‑Fi, TCP/IP network troubleshooting
    • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
    • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity test execution
    • Experience with other virtualization platforms (VMware, OpenStack, etc.)
