Role Overview
GSK are looking for a Buyer to support sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing activities across site operations. Acting as a key point of contact for procurement, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver cost-effective, compliant solutions while helping to drive supplier performance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main procurement contact at site, supporting request intake, purchase decisions and supplier engagement.
- Support and deliver sourcing activities, quotation analysis, and supplier selection for indirect and capital categories.
- Help manage supplier performance, on-time delivery, quality and compliance with site and global standards.
- Support cost and cash initiatives, including purchase price variance reviews and value generation activities.
- Assist implementation of risk mitigation plans and supplier continuity actions to protect supply.
- Work with finance, quality, engineering and other site teams to deliver procurement solutions for projects and operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain in a multi-site or matrix organization.
- Experience of sourcing, quotation evaluation, contract support and supplier performance tracking.
- Experience working with budgets, cost analysis or purchase price variance.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholder and cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment.
- Experience working in a regulated environment or with regulated suppliers.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience with procurement systems (for example SAP, Ariba) is an advantage.
- Experience supporting capital projects, manufacturing indirect or MRO categories.
- Prior exposure to supplier risk management and continuity planning.
