Role: IT Support Engineer Salary £26,000 – £31,000 DOE Location: Birmingham We are proud to be working with a leading managed service provider in their search for a skilled IT Support Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and technically proficient individual to join a dynamic and growing team, providing high-quality IT support to a diverse range of clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering technical assistance, troubleshooting IT issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Provide first and second-line technical support to end users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues. Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Support cloud-based solutions, including Microsoft 365 and Azure. Troubleshoot and manage VoIP and telephony systems. Assist with network administration, including routers, switches, and access points. Maintain security best practices, applying updates, patches, and antivirus solutions. Work closely with senior engineers on IT projects, deployments, and migrations. Deliver end-user training and guidance on IT best practices. Skills and Experience: Experience in an IT support role, providing first and second-line support. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365. Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and basic network troubleshooting. Understanding of VoIP systems and telephony support (desirable). Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure (preferred). Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to IT support.
