Role: Infrastructure Engineer Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 DOE Location: Bradford We are excited to be working with a leading organisation in their search for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled IT professional to play a key role in maintaining, optimising, and developing a robust and secure IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and efficiency across all systems. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver technical solutions that support business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. Support and optimise servers, networks, and storage solutions. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability. Manage virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, access controls, and patch management. Support Microsoft 365, Azure, and Active Directory environments. Oversee backup and disaster recovery strategies to minimise downtime. Assist with IT projects, including migrations, upgrades, and deployments. Provide third-line support for escalated IT issues. Document infrastructure processes and maintain technical documentation. Skills and Experience: Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy. Experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V. Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure or AWS. Strong networking skills, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs. Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements. Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell or Terraform (desirable).
