About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our client's Retail Implementation Team on an interim basis. This is a critical role supporting the delivery of sophisticated infrastructure solutions across Stores, Franchise Partners, and Distribution Centre environments. You will oversee multiple concurrent projects and workstreams, managing complex dependencies and ensuring seamless delivery of retail technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple projects and workstreams concurrently, managing timelines, dependencies, and risks.
- Support the Head of Technology Solutions Management Teams in implementing sophisticated infrastructure delivery.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment across key Digital & Technology stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Drive progress through dependency management and stakeholder engagement.
Technology Delivery
- Deliver retail IT implementation programmes spanning multiple technology domains:
- Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Self-Service solutions
- WAN/LAN infrastructure
- Server infrastructure
- IP CCTV, IP Access Control
- End User Compute
- Voice and Digital solutions
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven Technical Project Manager with demonstrable experience delivering multiple workstreams concurrently within a RETAIL environment.
- Strong experience in infrastructure delivery and implementation programmes.
- Confident in engaging and communicating with multiple, dispersed stakeholders to gain consensus and drive progress.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity, managing complex dependencies, and driving clarity.
- Strong budgetary control, planning, and delivery management capabilities.
- Experience leading multiple suppliers and maintaining effective partnerships.
- Excellent relationship-building skills internally and externally at all levels.
- Ability to problem-solve with innovative and imaginative solutions.
- Retail sector experience β knowledge of store operations, franchise models, or distribution centre environments.
- Infrastructure delivery background β particularly in networking, security, or end-user computing.
- Telco experience β understanding of connectivity and communications solutions.
- Exposure to technology portfolio management including resource/demand pipelines.
- Experience in senior partner and business relationship management.
- Project management certifications (PRINCE2, AgilePM, PMP).
