Duties
As our IT Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, delivering excellent customer service while troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Additionally, you will:
- Log and manage support tickets using our IT service management system
- Escalate complex issues to the 2nd Line Support team when required
- Document resolutions and create knowledge articles in line with ISO27001 standards
- Produce clear installation and troubleshooting instructions for other team members
- Liaise with third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues and manage software licensing queries
- Proactively address recurring technical problems to prevent future disruptions
- Ensure all service-level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met within agreed timeframes
The ideal candidate will have
Essential
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, PowerShell and common IT applications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A customer-centric attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- The ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
Desirable
- Previous experience in IT support or a customer service role
- IT-related certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation)
- Relevant IT degree or equivalent experience
