Duties

As our IT Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, delivering excellent customer service while troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Additionally, you will:

  • Log and manage support tickets using our IT service management system
  • Escalate complex issues to the 2nd Line Support team when required
  • Document resolutions and create knowledge articles in line with ISO27001 standards
  • Produce clear installation and troubleshooting instructions for other team members
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues and manage software licensing queries
  • Proactively address recurring technical problems to prevent future disruptions
  • Ensure all service-level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met within agreed timeframes

The ideal candidate will have

Essential

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, PowerShell and common IT applications
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A customer-centric attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues

Desirable

  • Previous experience in IT support or a customer service role
  • IT-related certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation)
  • Relevant IT degree or equivalent experience
