Clyde & Co LIFT – Business Services 2026

The LIFT Business Services insight week is a hybrid skills and development week for people from lower socio-economic backgrounds. During this 5-day hybrid programme you'll gain an insight into what a career in the various practice groups within Business Services. The programme consists of 2 days in-person in the Glasgow office, and 3 days virtually.

Recruitment Process:

Complete the online application form. In the questions section, we want to hear what you think! We already know what generative AI tools like ChatGPT think. Deeply considered, personalised responses score best in this application. We recommend attending one of our virtual insight sessions before submitting an application, to gain a better understanding of the application process and insight week. Registration links for our LIFT insight sessions can be found on our Early Careers website. We do not recruit on a rolling basis.

Salary: You will be paid £520 per week, with some additional support towards travel expenses.

Entry Requirements:

To be eligible you must be age 18 years or older, and no longer in a compulsory year of education (this includes secondary school, high school or sixth form college or studying A Levels, Scottish Highers, technical or vocational qualifications, or equivalent). You also need to meet at least one of the following criteria:

• You were eligible for free school meals. (You do not have to have received them).
• Your household income was lower than roughly £21,000 when you were about aged 14.
• You grew up in a household where no parent/guardian had attended university or higher education.
• The occupation of your highest-paid parent or guardian when you were about aged 14 was: technical and craft occupations or routine, semi-routine manual and service occupations or unemployed.
• You spent time in local authority care.
• You are or have been a carer.
• You had refugee or asylum seeker status as a child.
• You have experienced homelessness.
• You consider yourself to be from a lower socio-economic background.

Please note that to be eligible to participate in this scheme, you will need to have the right to work in the United Kingdom for the duration of the scheme. The vacation scheme role is not eligible for a skilled sponsor visa. If you are on a student visa, you will not be eligible to participate in the scheme during your term time.
