Team Description
The Broadcast Operations team exists to support the editorial vision of CGTN Europe. Encompassing several roles across studio and post-production, the goal of the department is to provide first‑class service and support in fulfilling the editorial remit of the network.
Job Objectives
- Coordinate the identification, development and deployment of workflow opportunities and improvements
- Anticipate, react to, and resolve technical and operational issues
- Assist in training and mentoring staff and freelancers, and work on any ongoing improvement and training issues
- Be prepared to work varied shift hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Familiarity of working within a culturally and ethnically diverse staff
- Reporting and documenting of errors and analysis of causes
- Work across different departments to ensure clean and smooth on‑air production
- Respond positively and strive to work in capacities other than specified as gallery production
- Deputise for the Director of Broadcast Operations
Person Specification
- Team player
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Network Television production
- Must have considerable industry work experience and extensive industry knowledge and technical expertise related to TV production
- Demonstrable knowledge of Mosart automation as well as non‑automated studios
- Active listening and learning ability, excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask and manage time and solve problems
- Good critical‑thinking skills and exemplary decision‑making and judgment abilities
