We are working on behalf of a well-established secondary school in Stockport seeking to appoint an ambitious and experienced Head of Geography from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Geography specialist to lead a successful department and drive high standards of teaching and learning across the subject.
The Role:
- Lead and develop the Geography department across KS3 KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning within your own timetable
- Drive student progress and attainment across all key stages
- Develop and implement a strong, engaging Geography curriculum
- Support and mentor staff within the department
- Contribute to whole-school improvement and leadership
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school
- Previous leadership experience or ready to step into a leadership role
- Proven track record of raising attainment
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Passion for Geography and student success
