The Role As a Geography teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and innovative lessons that inspire curiosity and deepen students’ understanding of the world around them.
Responsibilities include: Planning and delivering dynamic Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5.
Differentiating instruction to cater to the diverse learning needs of students, fostering a love for Geography and encouraging active participation in lessons.
Implementing effective assessment strategies to track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their academic goals.
Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to the development and enhancement of the Geography curriculum, resources, and teaching materials.
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed.
Participating in extracurricular activities, field trips, and enrichment programs to enhance students’ learning experiences and foster a deeper appreciation for Geography.
Engaging with parents, carers, and external stakeholders to provide regular updates on students’ progress and maintain positive relationships within the school community.
Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
A degree in Geography or a related field.
Proven experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential experience at Key Stage 5 desirable.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography education.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Dedication to promoting high standards of teaching and learning and fostering a positive learning environment.
