The Role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic French & Spanish Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our Modern Foreign Languages department, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and effective language instruction.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering dynamic and interactive French and Spanish lessons that cater to the varying abilities and interests of students.
- Creating a stimulating learning environment that encourages participation and fosters a passion for language learning.
- Developing and implementing differentiated teaching strategies to support the progression of all learners.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their language development.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links and promote language learning opportunities across the school.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school through participation in extracurricular activities and school events.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in both French and Spanish, with a deep understanding of language acquisition principles.
- Experience teaching French and Spanish at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A commitment to promoting language learning and fostering a positive attitude towards language study.
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the development of the MFL department.
- Experience working in a multicultural school environment (desirable but not essential).
