We are looking for an empathetic, energetic, and enthusiastic Senior Support Worker to join our committed team in Whitby. Our supported living service provides person-centred care and support to service users with learning disabilities, enabling them to develop their independence, experience a wide range of opportunities, and follow their passions.
Senior Support Worker Duties:
Supervising staff, attending review meetings, liaising with professionals, and partaking in staff observation
Providing personal care, administering medication, and help with domestic tasks
Encouraging service users to gain independence and confidence, and to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life that meets their needs, preferences, and aspirations
Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users and their families
A minimum of 2 years' UK experience of providing care and support is essential for this role. Experience of supporting and supervising a staff team is desireable, but not essential.
