Immediate Starts Available | Seasonal Temporary Contract
Manpower is currently recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of our client based in York. We have exciting opportunities available within a busy food manufacturing environment and are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who enjoy working as part of a team.
These positions are initially offered on a seasonal temporary basis, with work guaranteed until the end of September 2026. While there may be opportunities for the assignment to continue beyond this period, we cannot guarantee ongoing employment and prefer to be transparent from the outset.
Available Positions
- Production Operative
Shift Pattern: 2 days 2 nights on, 4 days off
Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm / 6pm - 6:00am
Pay Rate: £14.80 per hour days / £15.80 ph nights
12-hour shifts
All breaks paid
Main Duties
- Moving pallets of bagged shell around the production area
- Supporting the Production Team within the Green Area
- Receiving inbound goods and recording deliveries on the company system
- Basic computer work and data entry
- Carrying out routine walk-round checks of the plant area
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
- Assisting with general production and warehouse duties as required
What We're Looking For
- Previous production, manufacturing, warehouse or factory experience
- Food manufacturing experience would be advantageous
- Good level of computer literacy
- Reliable and flexible approach to work
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) licence/certificate would be highly desirable. However, for the right candidate, there may be an opportunity for PPT training and certification to be provided.
