This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful business with a friendly, down-to-earth working environment. You'll take on a varied role combining design, artwork, print and social media, giving you the opportunity to use both your creative and organisational skills.
You'll be creating and amending artwork, producing labels and marketing materials, supporting the company's social media presence and maintaining information on Shopify. Accuracy is particularly important, as you'll also be responsible for checking artwork and labels before they go to print and ensuring they meet relevant industry requirements. This would suit someone who enjoys creativity but also likes the detail and organisation that goes on behind the scenes.
What the Design, Artwork & Social Media Coordinator job involves:
- Designing and printing labels and marketing materials within required timescales.
- Creating and amending artwork using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Making changes to artwork including batch numbers, expiry dates, ingredients and layouts.
- Creating and editing label text and templates.
- Importing print-ready artwork and preparing labels for printing.
- Proofreading artwork and peer reviewing colleagues' work to ensure everything is accurate before going to print.
- Checking and approving labels against current industry legislation and requirements.
- Supporting and maintaining the company's social media channels.
- Helping to create engaging social media and marketing content for the business.
- Managing and maintaining information on Shopify.
- Supporting wider marketing activities and producing marketing materials when required.
- Monitoring label stock levels and raising purchase orders when supplies are running low.
- Answering incoming telephone calls, dealing with enquiries and directing calls to the appropriate person.
- Taking accurate messages and making sure these are passed on promptly.
- Preparing and sending company post, including mail-order customer orders.
- Working closely with colleagues across the business and providing cover during periods of absence.
- Supporting the wider team with additional duties when required.
Skills required:
We're looking for someone who combines creativity with excellent attention to detail and enjoys having plenty of variety in their working day. You'll ideally have:
- An excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Previous experience within design, artwork, print, marketing, social media or a similar creative position.
- Experience creating or supporting content for business social media channels.
- A good eye for design and an understanding of how to create engaging visual content.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong proofreading skills.
- The ability to check artwork accurately before it goes to print.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage several different priorities.
- The ability to work quickly and methodically without compromising on accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with telephone enquiries.
- Good Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Experience using Shopify would be advantageous.
- Previous experience using Sage 200 or SAP Business One would also be beneficial, although not essential.
- A positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to support colleagues as part of a close-knit team.
