Your Time at Work
We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a leading logistics operation based in Plymouth. This role involves multi-drop store deliveries across Devon, Somerset and Dorset, delivering chilled, frozen and ambient goods.
Duties Include:
- Multi-drop store deliveries using cages
- Delivering chilled, frozen and ambient products
- Routes covering Devon, Somerset and Dorset
- Completing between 4 and 9 drops per day
- Conducting vehicle checks and completing paperwork
- Maintaining excellent customer service at delivery locations
Shift Information:
- Start times between 04:45 and 06:00
- Average shift length of 10-12 hours
- Unpaid 45-minute break on shifts over 8 hours
Training & Induction
Successful candidates will complete a comprehensive 3-week induction programme:
- Week 1
- Driving assessment
- Classroom-based training
- Completion of paperwork and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW)
- Weeks 2 & 3
- Buddying alongside an experienced core driver
- Learning routes, procedures and customer requirements
Our Perfect Worker
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Minimum 3 months' commercial driving experience
- Previous store delivery experience preferred
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No major endorsements, including:
- DD (Drink Driving)
- CD (Careless Driving)
- Driving without due care and attention
- Other serious motoring offences
