We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional who is interested in developing a career in technical sales, business development or commercial management within a global technology organisation.
As an SDR, you will play a key role in identifying and engaging prospective customers, generating qualified sales opportunities and supporting the growth of Sonardyne's global business.
Working closely with Sales Managers, Marketing and Channel Partners, you will help build a strong pipeline of opportunities across both established and emerging markets.
What you'll be doing As part of our commercial team, you will: Generate and qualify new business leads through a combination of inbound enquiries, outbound prospecting and market research.
Engage prospective customers via email, telephone, Linked In and other digital channels to identify opportunities and build relationships with key stakeholders.
Research target accounts, industries and market sectors to understand customer challenges and identify where Sonardyne solutions can add value.
Support Account-Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives through targeted outreach and follow-up activities aligned to priority accounts.
Use CRM platforms and AI-enabled sales tools to manage lead activity, prioritise engagement and maintain accurate customer records.
Qualify opportunities against agreed criteria before passing them to Sales Managers or Channel Partners for further development.
Respond promptly to inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, exhibitions, webinars and other business development activities.
Maintain accurate reporting and activity tracking within CRM systems to support sales forecasting and performance measurement.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing and other business functions to ensure a consistent and effective customer experience.
Develop a strong understanding of Sonardyne's products, technologies, markets and customers to support effective opportunity identification and customer engagement.
What we're looking for We're interested in candidates who are eager to learn, highly motivated and able to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
You may have: A degree, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a business, engineering, technology or related discipline.
An interest in sales, business development, technology or customer engagement.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Confidence in engaging with people and building professional relationships.
A proactive and organised approach to managing priorities and delivering results.
Good research and analytical skills with the ability to identify potential opportunities.
Experience using CRM systems, Linked In Sales Navigator or similar sales tools would be advantageous, but is not essential.
A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn within a team environment.
