The Role: Recruitment Consultant
Key Duties
Using sales, business development, marketing techniques and networking to attract business from client companies
Working towards targets that relate to the margin billed, sales activity and service targets.
To build relationships with clients and candidates
To develop a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do and their work culture and environment
To attend networking events / job fairs / recruitment days as and when required.
Complete drive rounds of industrial and commercial areas to generate new leads for the business.
Manage a structured business development process, consistently contacting and growing prospect client database to grow the business.
Understand business practices of competitors and their clients.
Support and inspire the resource team with ideas for recruitment campaigns that will help to attract candidates and build relationships with candidates and employers
Effectively operate the candidate database / job boards to find the right workers for the clients specification
To support the resource team when required.
To ensure that all workers are fully briefed regarding role, responsibilities, Health and safety requirements and any other relevant information before attending client sites
Ensuring that company compliance standards and legal compliance standards are adhered to in the process of supplying workers to clients
Ensuring that the Adapt Recruitment brand is always represented to both workers and clients in a positive manner
To negotiate terms of business and pay and charge rates for new clients and for existing, in line with any legislative changes and ensuring that all agreements are documented.
Ensuring that administrative processes with clients work thereby ensuring that workers are paid in an accurate and timely manner
Periodically visit current clients to complete service reviews, improve processes and maintain good working relationships.
To offer advice to both clients and candidates on legislation, the current market, pay rates, training and career progression
To ensure operational compliance with all Company policies, procedures & current legislation.
To be a positive role model for junior team members and support them on their journey.
Lead junior members of the team
Be available for out of hours calls from clients and candidates if required.
Candidate Profile:
An ambitious individual that is looking to grow with a business who has exciting growth plans
An individual who has a positive outlook on life.
An individual that can easily build a good rapport with people face to face and on the telephone.
Excellent IT skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office
An organised individual that can manage their own workload.
Experience in the construction or engineering sectors would be advantageous but not essential.
An individual that will go the extra mile as and when required, in some cases candidates may need to be contacted outside of normal working hours. However this is not a regular occurrence.
Good demonstrated level of education
Good communication and interpersonal skills and can liaise with people at varying levels
Must be able to gain peoples confidence and put them at ease
Must be persuasive, persistent and patient
Must be flexible and adaptable to deal with various scenarios
Must have an excellent telephone manner and feel confident and comfortable on the phone
Must be able to follow instructions diligently
Be dependable and hard working
Have the ability to work under pressure and to deal with high volumes of work
Be a Team player
