Our client based in the Wrexham area is currently recruiting a Financial Planning Analyst on a permanent basis. Working closely with Finance and Operational Management, the Financial Analyst will analyse business performance, identify trends, improve financial reporting, develop forecasts and support business planning. The successful candidate will become a trusted business partner, providing data-driven recommendations that improve profitability, operational efficiency and long-term business performance.

Performance Objectives

  • Financial Analysis
    • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
    • Produce weekly and monthly financial performance reports.
    • Develop financial models to support business decisions.
    • Conduct variance analysis against budgets, forecasts and prior performance.
    • Monitor key financial and operational KPIs.
    • Support profitability analysis across departments, products and customers.
    • Provide meaningful financial insight to senior management.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting
    • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
    • Support rolling forecasts and financial planning activities.
    • Develop financial projections for business growth and investment.
    • Analyse operational performance against forecast.
    • Support departmental budget reviews.
    • Identify financial risks and opportunities.
  • Business Partnering
    • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Production and Supply Chain to improve business performance.

  • Strategic Planning
    • Support long-term financial planning.

    • Assist in monthly management reports.

Person Specification
