About the Role An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established company with over 75 years of industry experience . This role offers outstanding flexibility, allowing you to choose a working pattern that suits your lifestyle while working as part of a skilled and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of HGVs.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults.
Complete routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety checks.
Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections , ensuring they meet the required safety and compliance standards.
Use diagnostic equipment to accurately identify and rectify faults.
Ensure all work is completed in line with DVSA regulations and manufacturer standards.
Complete job cards and maintenance documentation accurately.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and health & safety within the workshop.
Requirements Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Technician, Light Vehicle Technician , or in a similar role.
Vehicle Technicians looking to transition into HGVs are encouraged to apply , as full training and support will be provided.
Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification is preferred , although experienced candidates without formal qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK Driving Licence.
HGV Licence is advantageous but not essential.
