Millison Chase Limited is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing general haulage work with one of our valued transport clients. We are looking for professional and reliable drivers to carry out deliveries and collections of palletised and general freight across local and nationwide routes. This role involves between 1 and 5 drops or collections per shift, depending on route allocation, delivery locations, and route distances.
Day shifts typically start at 05:00am, with shift lengths usually ranging between 10 and 12 hours, always operating within Driver's Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive legislation. This is a straightforward driving role with no handball or unloading duties required. The vast majority of loads are loaded and unloaded by the customer's forklift operators, allowing drivers to focus on the safe and professional transportation of goods. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 Drivers looking for regular ongoing work, competitive rates of pay, and support from a professional transport recruitment team.

- Days: £17.93 per hour
- Nights: £19.05 per hour
- Weekends: Up to £22.91 per hour

Responsibilities
- Completing general haulage deliveries and collections
- Carrying out between 1 and 5 drops or collections per shift
- Delivering palletised and general freight safely and efficiently
- Completing vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Ensuring delivery paperwork is completed accurately
- Following all driver's hours and tachograph regulations
- Maintaining high standards of customer service
- Operating vehicles safely and professionally at all times
- Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 year HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred
- Good communication and timekeeping skills
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom and ability to provide documentation
