This opportunity is specifically aimed at drivers looking for daytime HGV Class 1 work , with additional weekend shifts available at enhanced rates .

Whether you're looking for regular Monday-to-Friday work, additional weekend shifts or ongoing temporary assignments, Millison Chase has opportunities available.

HGV Class 1 Driver Pay Rates Weekday Days £17.00 per hour
Weekends up to £20.00 per hour
Weekly pay via PAYE.

No umbrella companies drivers are paid directly through Millison Chase's PAYE payroll.

The HGV Class 1 General Haulage Role As an HGV Class 1 General Haulage Day Driver , your duties may include:
General haulage deliveries and collections.

Driving HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles.

Curtain-side and general freight work.

Depot, warehouse, RDC and NDC deliveries.

Trunking and longer-distance deliveries where required.

Completing daily vehicle and trailer safety checks.

Safe coupling and uncoupling of trailers.

Checking the fifth wheel is correctly locked and secure.

Ensuring loads are safe and secure before departure.

Completing delivery and collection paperwork accurately.

Reporting vehicle or trailer defects.

Following Drivers' Hours, Tachograph and Working Time regulations.

Representing Millison Chase and our clients professionally.

Skills & Licence Requirements To apply for these HGV Class 1 Day Driver jobs , you will need:
Valid UK Category C+E / HGV Class 1 Licence .

Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card .

Valid Digital Tachograph Card .

Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Tachograph regulations.

Previous general haulage experience is preferred.

Good knowledge of UK roads and motorway networks.

Professional and reliable attitude.
