We are looking for compassionate and enthusiastic Family Support Workers who can build positive relationships with parents while keeping childrens safety and wellbeing at the heart of their work.
The role
You will:
Provide practical support and guidance to parents caring for their children
Help parents develop their skills, routines and confidence
Observe and accurately record progress, interactions and behaviours
Contribute to individual care and assessment plans
Maintain a safe, nurturing and respectful environment
Work closely with colleagues and other professionals
Follow safeguarding procedures at all times
What we are looking for
You will need:
Some experience of working with children and families
A caring, patient and non-judgemental approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Good observation and written-recording skills
The ability to remain calm in challenging situations
Reliability, flexibility and clear professional boundaries
A commitment to safeguarding children and families
Experience in family support, residential care or social care would be an advantage.

Working arrangements : We welcome applications from candidates seeking a range of working patterns and contracted hours.
Applicants should indicate their preferred number of working days within their application.
We are open to considering a variety of arrangements and are keen to build a team with complementary skills, experience and availability.
The final mix of appointments and contracted hours will be determined following recruitment and agreed in line with service requirements and the approved staffing budget.
