Recognised for innovative design and the best engineering, due to an exciting period of growth and a solid plan in place for further expansion, we are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Area Sales Manager to lead the commercial regional activities.

If you are a talented and passionate kitchen designer looking to step into an area role, this could be the opportunity for you. You could also be an established area sales manager / business development manager selling into the kitchen sector. You will be responsible for developing and executing effective strategies to drive sales, increase profitability, and maximize market share.

You will oversee the sales and business development within a number of channels for your region: independents kitchen showrooms, builder merchants, E Commerce or house build, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in kitchen design, be able to demonstrate successful achievement of sales targets, and the ability to thrive in a competitive market. Reporting directly into the Sales Director, you will support them with creating and executing strategy as well as influence and collaborate with other members of the area sales team in order to shape the direction of the business.

Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with the Sales Director, develop and execute the company's commercial strategy to achieve sales targets and revenue growth at a regional level.
  • Develop and maintain key account relationships with existing and new independent showrooms, builders merchants and house build clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your existing client base and region, develop partnerships, and market segments to expand the company's customer base.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify business opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure the product portfolio meets customer requirements and remains competitive in the market.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key head office colleagues, customers, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead pricing strategies, negotiations, and contract management to maximize profitability and maintain healthy margins.
  • Work alongside the Sales Director and marketing team to develop and implement effective sales and marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Develop the CRM systems and processes to improve customer relationship management and maximize sales effectiveness.
  • Analyse sales performance data, market research, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous sales growth within your region.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports for your region.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, industry standards, and ethical business practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Designer, Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager or Account Manager within the kitchen, bathroom or furniture markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of the kitchen design, market dynamics, and trends.
  • Strong business acumen and a track record of driving sales growth and profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to implement effective commercial strategies.
  • Outstanding negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving targets and delivering business objectives.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, sales forecasting, and reporting tools.
