This is an exciting opportunity for a professional and motivated Engineering Area Sales Manager to join our growing team at Imperium Automation.
We are looking for someone that has a strong engineering background to cover a designated sales territory where you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, managing key accounts and reconnecting with dormant accounts.
Combining technical expertise with a consultative sales approach you will be supporting customers promoting technical solutions and engineering products while proactively identifying opportunities for cross selling to Imperium Group.
You will manage the full sales cycle from progressing opportunities and initial engagement, to conducting fact finding meetings, delivering presentations, quotations, negotiations and obtaining purchase orders before a structured handover to the Operations Team
Key Responsibilities for an Area Sales Manager Develop and implement a sales strategy for your assigned territory.
Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Identify customer requirements and provide suitable engineering and manufacturing solutions.
Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts, and successfully close sales opportunities.
Conduct regular customer visits and technical presentations.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Maintain accurate customer records and sales forecasts using the company's CRM system.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and customer service teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Experience and Qualifications required for Area Sales Manager Proven experience in an Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, or Technical Sales role.
Background in industrial engineering or manufacturing products.
Demonstrated success in both new business development and account management.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own territory Engineering qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent).
Experience selling technical products, engineered components, or industrial solutions.
Knowledge of CRM systems and sales reporting.
