Location: Marston Gate Distribution Centre, Milton Keynes

Salary: £22,000 per annum for the duration of the apprenticeship, rising upon completion

Hours: 45 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, start times between 10:00pm and 4:00am

The Role

We are looking for a professional and reliable Apprentice to join our night shift operation at our Milton Keynes Distribution Centre. As an Apprentice HGV Driver, upon completion of your programme, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of stock to Wolseley branches across the region, providing excellent service and maintaining high safety standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles up to 44 tonnes
  • Deliver and unload palletised stock to Wolseley branches
  • Open, secure and lock branches as required during deliveries
  • Complete vehicle checks and ensure compliance with transport legislation
  • Maintain accurate delivery and compliance documentation
  • Complete an average of up to 8 branch deliveries per shift
  • Cover delivery routes from Nottingham to the South Coast, including East Anglia, Kent and areas along the Welsh border
