Our client is seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join their growing sales team. Working closely with Sales, Engineering, and Customers, you'll become the technical expert throughout the sales process, delivering product demonstrations, providing technical guidance, and helping secure successful business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities of the Sales Engineer
- Support the Sales team by providing technical expertise during customer engagements
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and technical briefings
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions
- Act as the technical lead during pre-sales discussions and project reviews
- Respond to technical enquiries and assist with issue resolution
- Visit customer sites to investigate application or technical challenges and provide practical recommendations
- Support customer onboarding and product training
- Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless solution delivery
What We're Looking For from the new Sales Engineer
- Previous experience as a Sales Engineer, Solution Engineer, Applications Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales Consultant, or similar
- Strong technical or engineering background
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Commercial awareness with a genuine interest in supporting sales growth
- Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally when required
Desirable Experience
- Experience within fire safety systems, fire protection products, security technology, or related technical solutions
- Exposure to physical or cyber security environments
- Experience supporting international customers
- Additional language skills is a benefit
- Experience delivering CPD presentations
