Blaymires Recruitment is representing a well-established and highly respected building contractor based near Ferndown, Dorset, who is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team.
The company has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality fit-out, new build, extension and structural alteration projects across the commercial, retail, hospitality and industrial sectors. Typical project values range from £1 million to £15 million.

The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple construction projects across the UK, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will lead project teams from pre-construction through to completion, building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure every project exceeds expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple fit-out and new build projects across the UK.
Organise and chair pre-start meetings with clients and Site Managers.
Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and project teams throughout each project.
Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to procure and appoint subcontractors.
Collaborate with the Health & Safety Manager to ensure all risk assessments, method statements, Construction Phase Plans and Health & Safety documentation are completed and maintained.
Gain a thorough understanding of project scope, prepare order schedules and issue information to Site Managers.
Develop and monitor project programmes alongside Site Managers and subcontractors, ensuring clients are kept informed.
Chair regular project progress meetings with Site Managers and subcontractors.
Monitor subcontractor performance, quality standards and programme delivery.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Maintain accurate project records, including drawings, Architect's Instructions, CVIs, RFIs, variations, valuations and all contractual documentation.
Provide regular progress reports to the Contracts Director.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry.
Strong background delivering fit-out, refurbishment and/or new build projects.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Commercial awareness with the ability to deliver projects on programme and within budget.
Full UK driving licence.
