We are currently recruiting for two experienced Multi Trade Operatives to join a well-established social housing contractor carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across the Wigan area. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability with a growing business that has a strong pipeline of work. You'll be joining a supportive team that values quality workmanship, reliability and excellent customer service, with genuine opportunities for career progression through internal promotion.

The role involves working within occupied social housing properties, carrying out a range of responsive repairs and maintenance. Strong plumbing experience is essential, and candidates with additional plastering and tiling skills will have a distinct advantage.

We welcome applications from Multi Trade Operatives, Multi Skilled Operatives, Multi Traders, Property Maintenance Operatives, Repairs Operatives, Maintenance Technicians, Carpenter Multi Traders and Plumber Multi Traders with experience working within social housing or domestic property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties
  • Complete plumbing repairs, bathroom maintenance and general property repairs
  • Undertake a range of multi-trade work including basic carpentry, plastering, tiling and decorating
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship with a right-first-time approach
  • Provide excellent customer service while working in tenants' homes
  • Manage your own workload and complete jobs efficiently
  • Ensure company vehicles, tools and equipment are maintained responsibly
  • Work safely and in accordance with company health and safety procedures
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative
  • Strong plumbing experience is essential
  • Experience across a range of trades including carpentry, plastering, tiling and decorating
  • Plastering and tiling skills are highly desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Professional, reliable and customer focused
  • No formal trade qualifications or tickets required
Benefits:
  • £35,000 per annum
